Description

The 1967-1972 Ford F 100 Pickup Truck Engine portfolio had an imposing array of powertrains, each specially formulated for both daily and heavy-duty use. This generation of the Ford F-100 delivered the right combination of performance, dependability, and innovation that kept the full-size pickup truck market a hot commodity.

The base model had the 3.9L I6, 150 HP, and was perfect for light work and daily commutes. The 1967-1972 Ford F 100 Pickup Truck Engine 4.2L V8 had 160 horsepower for increased towing and hauling power. Then up the level to the 4.7L V8 with 200 horsepower, a good mix for drivers looking for power plus fuel economy. The 5.8L V8 put out 250 hp for extra weight and could keep up with the demands. The best of this lineup was the 6.4L V8 with 275 HP, perfect for heavy-duty use and industrial duty.

They were teamed with manual or optional automatic transmissions that made the engines available for any type of driver. Even the 1967-1972 Ford F-100 took full advantage of Ford’s continued suspension and design upgrades including stiffer chassis

and ride quality.

With all the different engines at this time, the 1967-72 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck was perfect for everything from farming and construction to personal transport. Its engine lineup with the 3.9L I6, 4.2L V8, 4.7L V8, 5.8L V8, and 6.4L V8 offered durability and reliability to take on the rough work and keep passengers comfortable and safe. They’re still a go-to choice among restorationists and vintage truck enthusiasts today.
