1999-2003 Acura TL Engine

Description

The Acura TL (1999–2003) was an evolution of the luxury sedan segment, a combination of power, refinement and style. 3.2L V6 (J32A1) with 200 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque, smooth acceleration and good highway cruising range came standard on the base TL. The 2002 TL got an aggressive boost in the form of the TL Type-S, equipped with a bigger, stronger 3.2L V6 (J32A2) making 260 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque. This new power added a nice performance punch that made the Type-S attractive to enthusiast buyers as it boasted smoother handling, stiffer suspension and more technology all at a manageable price. The 2nd-gen TL’s attractive design and balanced performance meant that it became a popular model in the segment.
