Description
The 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty line of engines was still mighty and reliable, built for duty and ruggedness. Ford had several engine choices, both for commercial and weekend driving. The standard 5.4L V8 gave 300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque. It was good enough for commuter driving and a little towing, but not great for heavy hauling. The 6.8L V10 was available with 362 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque if you needed more towing capability. This engine was ideal for pulling trailers, boats and tools, yet with plenty of acceleration and power. These were the outstanding engines on the 2009 F-250 Super Duty: 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel and 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel. The 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel produced 325 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque, which was ideal for towing big loads such as RVs and heavy machinery. It also lacked the latest turbocharging technology for better acceleration and fuel economy.
The 2009 Ford f-250 Super Duty Engine 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel was released for even more power in 2009. It developed 350 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which was great for pulling heavy loads. This was more powerful and fuel-efficient than the 6.0L and met emissions regulations so it was greener. The 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty was available in regular cab, extended cab, crew cab, and two- or four-wheel drive. From 2009 Ford f-250 Super Duty Engine 5.4L V8, 6.8L V10, or the capable 6.0L and 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel, the 2009 F-250 Super Duty was still a capable, reliable, versatile vehicle that could perform the toughest of jobs with unmatched towing and hauling capabilities.
